The course will also equip students with skills such as importing existing python modules (e.g. scikit-learn, numpy and pandas) for problem-solving. Practical applications in image and speech recognition are highlighted. The course allows students to work in groups analyzing AI applications in the real-life context. It also will introduce business planning for the use of AI systems in complex organization settings considering factors influencing their development and deployment.
Artificial Intelligence Technologies and Engineering
Focusing on the practical application of AI, this course covers essential AI technologies such as API integration in AI systems, fine-tuning of pre-trained models, in depth understanding and development of multimodal large language models (mLLMs). Programming lanaguges such as Python, machine learning repositories such as Hugging Face, and open-source chatbot development frameworks such as FlowiseAI. This course will also address understanding organisational contexts, stakeholder engagement, strategy development, and business planning in deploying these AI technologies and engineering. The course is designed to provide both theoretical and practical experiences with these AI tools and platforms, ensuring students can implement AI solutions in complex organisational contexts.
Humanities and Artificial Intelligence
This course provides a foundational understanding of the key features of both human and artificial intelligence. The curriculum offers an analysis of the relationship between human and artificial intelligence, drawing from both Western and Eastern philosophical perspectives spanning 3,000 years. It explores the connection between quantum computing, neuroscience and AI. Additionally, it examines how AI can support, rather than endanger, human endeavors. It will then address ethical considerations and promote the development of valuable AI practices that are useful in diverse disciplines and contexts. Finally, the course will discuss developing opportunities, launching start-ups, formulating growth strategies, and understanding financing and profitability in leadership and entrepreneurship. Case studies from diverse organisations will be discussed.
Contemporary Issues on Artificial Intelligence Technologies
