Master of Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy (OT) empowers individuals and communities to achieve independence, health, and well-being through engagement in meaningful daily activities (occupations). Using evidence-based therapeutic activities, occupational therapists help individuals adapt tasks and environments to maximize function, prevent disability, and enabling productive, meaningful participation in community life.

The programme is an entry-level programme designed to be recognised by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT); and for individuals who hold a bachelor's degree in another field and wish to transition into OT by acquiring the necessary competencies. The overall aim of the programme is to equip students to become qualified and locally licensed occupational therapists who can practice OT autonomously, safely and effectively in different settings and quickly meet the societal needs in NGOs, schools, hospitals, and the private sector.
