The Academy for Applied Policy Studies and Education Futures (AAPSEF) was established in 2023 by EdUHK as an interdisciplinary research and innovation academy. Its mission is to address the current challenges and opportunities facing the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China (HKSAR), the Nation, and the world through applied policy research, interdisciplinary studies, knowledge transfer, and the cultivation of future talent.
Aligned with national development priorities, AAPSEF is committed to nurturing professionals with a global vision and expertise underpinned by positive values in key frontier areas of worldwide significance. It also conducts joint research to support HKSAR and Chinese Mainland strategic goals while enhancing regional synergy through Greater Bay Area integration.
AAPSEF has created a diverse collaborative platform for academic staff, experts, and industry professionals, promoting deep integration of theory and practice through events, collaborative projects, and exchange seminars. Leveraging strong ties with government, industry, academia, and research sectors, it aims to bridge research to real-world needs and offers innovative solutions for societal challenges.
