Introduction
The Institute for Global Governance and Chinese Foreign Affairs (IGGCFA) serves as an academic and research hub in the fields of international relations and Chinese foreign affairs. It collaborates with the China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU) to strengthen partnerships in the areas of international relations, Chinese foreign affairs education and professional practice.
Objectives
- To become a leading hub for education, research and practice in international relations and Chinese foreign affairs;
- To deepen understanding of global governance frameworks, international diplomacy, and China's foreign affairs policy;
- To develop specialised academic programmes for students, diplomats, and policymakers;
- To facilitate dialogue and collaboration among scholars, government officials, and international organisations.
Initiatives
- Develop a master's programme related to Chinese foreign affairs and international relations;
- Launch the "Ambassadors to Schools" programme to enable students to gain insights into foreign affairs, international relations, and China's role on the global stage;
- Organise an exhibition at EdUHK to showcase China's achievements in international relations and diplomacy.
