EdUHK-Mainland Education Research Alliances (EMERA)

Introduction

EdUHK will take lead to establish close collaborations with the partners in various education research areas in the Mainland and Macau.  Through the alliances, concrete projects and developments with different stalk holders of EdUHK will be initiated. Also, translational projects will be established to foster and strengthen close ties and co-operations between EdUHK and Mainland industries and enterprises.  In addition, we will further initiate, develop and consolidate the collaborations into concrete projects and developments. Potential partners in Mainland and rest of the World with excellent reputations will be found and matched with EduHK colleagues. The present project is crucial to provide strong supports and will powerfully enhance the consolidations and commencements of the in these two important alliances.   The leading roles of EdUHK in these two Alliances will grow robust and will highly benefit our students, colleagues and other stalk holders of EdUHK. 

 

 

 

 

Aims & Impacts

The alliances will greatly benefit various stalk holders of EdUHK and the partnering institutions in Shandong, Nanjing, Yangtze River Delta and Greater Bay Area, and also around the globe. Future landing of projects and developments on education-plus technology and others will create great impacts.

 

 

  • Initiating discussions and dialogs between EdUHK and Nanjing University. Through close collaborations, to facilitate the advancements of higher education, technology advances, researches, pedagogy and the development of sustainable energy usage in Yangtze River Delta and Greater Bay Area, as well as with Suzhou University.
  • Enhancing the translation of education-plus technologies lead by EdUHK to communities with the partner institutions in Shandong, Yangtze River Delta and Greater Bay Area and around the globe. Impacts will be great on EdUHK brand building and influence in these partnering areas of China.
  • Cultivating talents: providing education platforms for EdUHK students and colleagues, and cultivate talents with innovative abilities and applied experiences.
  • Creating social and economic impacts: with our help for translational science and commercialization of EdUHK technologies to industrial applications, we will create great economic and social impacts.
  • Students will be among the primary beneficiaries. We will provide them with opportunities to engage in real-world education-plus research projects, gain practical experiences, and further develop their innovative and entrepreneurial skills. The estimated number of students benefiting from these opportunities could range from hundreds to thousands, depending on the scales and scopes of the joint industrial projects.
